Our placement students are critical to our operation as a business. Over the course of a year, they rotate through three areas of our business, gaining invaluable insight into how we operate. The hands-on nature of the company is reflected in the programme, which allows students to build upon prior knowledge in a welcoming and friendly environment, equipping them with experience that gives them a strong head start in their postgraduate careers.
Joe is one of our employees who is completing his year in industry at Callen-Lenz and is currently working within the manufacturing team. He said, “I have very much enjoyed the variability of work at Callen-Lenz; no two days are the same. One day I could be working with the operations team, and the next I could be soldering connectors to aid the manufacture of a UAV, tasks that give me the opportunity to develop a wide skillset and solve hands-on problems. I feel my confidence has drastically increased, and I have gained a better understanding of the work and commitment that are required from a team to lead the way in the market.”
